How many accessible attractions in Seoul record a facility?

87. That is the number of places with an entry in the facilities-for-disabled-visitors column among the 506 on the Seoul Tourism Organization's list, or 17.2% of the list.

The list has no separate "barrier-free" flag. Seoul Tourism and Medical Tourism Data counts places that record one or more facilities, and the data does not show how usable those facilities are in practice.

Only the attractions list has this column. The restaurant and shopping lists do not, so no comparison is possible. Keep in mind that 419 places, 82.8% of the list, leave it empty. Every facilities figure has to be read within that limit.

Which facilities do accessible attractions in Seoul record?

Five kinds. The most common is accessible entrance or route (labelled "접근가능" in the source) with 68, followed by accessible restroom with 64. The least common is assistance, including wheelchair rental with 47.

A place can list several facilities, so the rows add up to more than the number of places.

Facility names follow the wording of the source. The source does not explain what its "접근가능" label covers, such as ramps or step-free entrances.

In between are accessible parking with 54 and lift (elevator) with 51. The gap between the most and the least common item is 21.

How many accessible attractions in Seoul record every facility?

24 places record all five, which is 27.6% of those with an entry. 18 record only one.

Places recording four or more add up to 44. A higher number does not mean every part of the site can be covered in a wheelchair.

9 places record two kinds and 16 record three. A place with an entry records 3.3 kinds on average.

Which districts have the most accessible attractions in Seoul?

Jongno-gu has the most with 22, followed by Jung-gu with 17. Together they account for 44.8% of the places with an entry.

Jongno-gu and Jung-gu are also districts with many listed attractions overall. Counts for every district are in Seoul Attractions by District.

Next come Yongsan-gu with 7 and Gangnam-gu with 7. 5 districts have no listed attraction that records a facility, which does not mean no place there has one.

Are places with an empty column not accessible attractions in Seoul?

That cannot be concluded. 419 places (82.8%) leave the column empty, which may mean the facilities were not surveyed or simply not written down.

So 17.2% is the share of listed places that record a facility, not the share of Seoul attractions that have one. The number that actually have facilities may be higher.

Conversely, an entry does not guarantee the facility can be used today. The list does not reflect breakdowns or construction. The figures say only what the list records. Planning a visit needs the place's own current information.

How far from a subway station are accessible attractions in Seoul?

For the 75 with a recorded distance, the median is 413 m from the station exit. 48 of them are within 500 m.

23 are within 300 m. Of the 87 places with an entry, 82 name a nearest subway station.

The distance is the value written in the transport column of the source. It says nothing about slopes or steps on the way, or whether the station has a lift. Station figures are in Seoul Attractions by Subway Station.

What else should you check about accessible attractions in Seoul?

Check the location and conditions of each facility in the place's own official information. The list records only that a facility exists.

  • Wheelchair rental: where and when, and whether a reservation is needed
  • Accessible parking: number of spaces and the route to the entrance
  • Lift: which floors it reaches and its operating hours
  • Date of the data: figures on Seoul Tourism and Medical Tourism Data are those downloaded on 9 Oct 2026

Each place on the list comes with the address of its page in the official Seoul travel guide. Details of the facilities can be checked there and in the place's own information. Seoul Tourism and Medical Tourism Data does not recommend individual places or vouch for the condition of facilities, and prints only the counts recorded in the list.
