What should you keep in mind when reading the figures on places near Seoul subway stations?
This is the list of places featured on Visit Seoul, the city's official travel guide. It is not a census of every attraction in Seoul. A district's count is the number of places the guide lists there, not the number that exist. The dataset is updated monthly, so the figures are those of the download date.
A station's count is not the number of places around it. It is the number of listed places that name it as their nearest station. A place between two stations is written under one of them only, and where the directions include a bus transfer the first subway station was counted. The restaurant and shopping lists likewise cover only places featured in the travel guide.
Where do the figures on places near Seoul subway stations come from, and how were they calculated?

The file has 2,502 rows in five languages, with the same place listed once per language, so only the 506 Korean rows are counted.
